Everyone out there reading this has desperately wanted to live the rock 'n' roll life, whether they admit it or not. Now, in addition to living vicariously through your copy of Yeah Yeah Yeahs' lauded Fever to Tell and doing Karen O impressions, you can enter the portal guitarist Nick Zinner has opened to all aspects of the rock star life.

Not merely a guitarist in a Grammy-nominated band, Zinner is an accomplished photographer and spent the past few years capturing every aspect of being a Yeah Yeah Yeahs band member on the road. He's releasing 500 of these photos for public consumption in the form of a book called I Hope You Are All Happy Now, out this September.

Those who are looking for a picture guide to Mˆtley Cr¸e's The Dirt won't find it here, as Zinner captured what it's really like to be a band. Pics of tiny vans and horrible hotel rooms from when YYY was but a fledgling act all the way up to shots of Karen O in all her glory with her boyfriend Spike Jonze make it into the pages, along with every audience the trio has ever played for.

I Hope You Are Happy Now also features essays by Zachary Lipez and comedian David Cross, as well as an interview with the photographer himself. Measuring up at 220 pages, Zinner's photography book is being released by Evil Twin Publications.
