Matthew Barber Hits the West

Published: 2005-08-31
With his second full-length officially hitting shelves on September 27th, there couldn't be a better time for Matthew Barber to do his most ambitious tour of western Canada to date. Starting on September 10th in Sudbury, Barber will hit 11 cities in two weeks.

Usually opting to head far away from home with naught but his guitar, Barber will take his full band on tour this time around. The Union Dues will be giving Barber that rock 'n' roll sound, and special guest the Meligrove Band will be doing something quite similar.

Seeing as Barber's western tour will wrap before he releases his new album, Sweet Nothing, this will be the last chance to buy the "special advance version" of the disc. To celebrate the release of the real Sweet Nothing, Barber and the Union Dues will play a series of release parties around their Ontario home in early October.

Eastern Canada is sure to be up next, but in the meantime, Western Canada, get your singer-songwriter rock on:
