Elvis three-CD Box Set 'Hits' in October

Published: 2005-08-30
Anyone who felt that Elvis 30 #1 Hits and Elvis 2nd to None didn't jam enough Elvis Presley hits onto two discs will be glad to note that there is yet another hits package coming out in the name of the King. Courtesy of Sony BMG, the three-disc, 80-track Hitstory will be in music stores across this land and many others on October 4th.

For those wondering how compilers managed to find three more discs of Elvis hits, wonder no longer. The first two CDs of Hitstory are actually just 30 #1 Hits and 2nd to None rewrapped for consumer convenience. The third disc, The Story Continues, is the only new compilation, putting nineteen top 20 singles from the Billboard Top 100 on one disc.

It's possible that another question has arisen in many people's mind that goes something like this: "Why should I re-purchase two albums I already own just to get the third one?" The answer is this: according to Elvis.com, Hitstory comes in a "magnificent and elegant hard-bound package with iconic Elvis imagery and a collectable poster." Reason enough for ya?

Just because we're all about convenience here at Soul Shine, the track list of all three discs of the Hitstory box set, even the ones you could look up for yourself, are here for your reading pleasure:
