Bauhaus Officially Reform, Announce Fall North American Tour

Published: 2005-08-17
Oh my Goth. 22 years after their fractious breakup, seven years on from their first reunion tour and on the heels of their triumphant performance at this year's Coachella festival, Bauhaus have decided to reform for real with an upcoming North American tour and, yes, a brand new album in the works for release in 2006.

Last month, singer Peter Murphy informed Britain's BBC 6 (there's a BBC 6? Since when?) that he had in fact been "working on reforming the band for the last year. It's come to the point now that we are going to tour here in the winter and do a world tour and an album".

The band's seminal glam/goth hybrid will be heard once more this fall, with the classic lineup of Murphy, guitarist Daniel Ash, bassist David J and drummer Kevin Haskins intact, starting with a couple of dates in Mexico in mid-October before heading out across the rest of the continent (including three Canadian dates) until late November. Strangely, the band will not be playing on Halloween. SpookyÖ

Bauhaus Canadian Tour Dates:

October 20, Vancouver, BC - Centre For The Performing Arts
November 15, Montreal, QC - Metropolis
November 16, Toronto, ON - Kool Haus
