The flaming-haired piano siren that is Tori Amos has a wide and devoted legion of fans, all of whom get their hands on all the Amos merch they possibly can. Bootleg recordings of live performances are always a hot item, and now Amos has taken the pirate craft into her own hands.
This fall Amos will release not one, not two, but six high quality live "bootleg" recordings through legal avenues. Only available for purchase only through www.toribootlegs.com, the first two go on sale August 30th.
Amos recorded the first of these discs at an April 15th, 2005, performance in Chicago that featured songs like "Mother," "The Beekeeper," and a cover of Jim Croce's "Operator." The second album, which reproduces an April 25th, 2005, Los Angeles date, also includes a cover, but this time it's Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer," alongside of Amos's originals "Yes, Anastacia" and "Cloud on My Tongue," among others.
