Aaron Arman Plays Opera House

Published: 2005-08-04
Aaron Arman hails from Toronto, and is the latest addition to a long list of singer and songwriters throughout this great story-telling land. He is self-taught and to date has played out at a number of highly respected venues around the downtown music district including Club 279, the Rivoli, The Silver Dollar, and the Reverb. He is slated to play August 13 at the Opera House, where he will be opening for Robin Black.

Aaron has a rather clean, easy listening style, his vocals are crisp, and his guitar playing is tight. He catches everyone off-guard where in the middle of a song, he'll loop the rhythmic chord structure with delays, and then start to solo over that, but wait, here comes a bass effect, followed by Aaron drumming on the body of his guitar, this guy is a one-man band.

His lyrics are rather witty; he gets the entire audience to sing along to his anti-work song. It goes 'Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday I got high, Friday starts the weekend and Saturday flies by, oh it's Sunday, oh not again'. It is his show closer and certainly a grand way to get people to remember you, by the second show; you practically know all the lyrics to it.

Aaron also has his first debut demo out, 'One More Day'. You can find out more about Aaron's music and his playing schedule by checking out his website www.aaronarman.com.
