John Mayer Trio Expand Fall Tour

Published: 2005-08-03
Globally praised singer and songwriter John Mayer will use the fall to expose his new band to his old fans. The John Mayer Trio will hit the pavement beginning on September 6th in San Francisco, and won't get off it until they reach Philadelphia in mid-October, with just one Canadian stop pencilled in.

Not only will Mayer be able to pull in his old fanbase with the Trio's upcoming tour, but the band will also have the opportunity to branch out to an even wider range of musical tastes. This is thanks to their touring partners, who come in the form of everyone from Ray LaMontagne to Charlie Sexton to the Rolling Stones and even Joss Stone.

With Mayer leading the pack as lead vocalist and guitarist, the John Mayer Trio is fleshed out by drummer Steve Jordan and bassist Pino Palladino. The two musicians have worked with the likes of Bruce Springsteen and the Who, respectively.

The tickets to the Toronto show went on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 29th. At 10:01 a.m. Ticketmaster regretfully informed all interested parties that the tickets have been sold out. That's bollocks! The JMT needs to have another show in Toronto, or someone is harbouring some much needed tickets to those of us that didn't even stand a chance to all those that had advance notice of the show.
