Matthew Barber's 'Sweet Nothing' Romances September

Published: 2005-07-29
Toronto-based singer/songwriter Matthew Barber found acclaim with his 2004 Story Of Your Life EP, and now he'll try and do it again with his sophomore full-length Sweet Nothing. The record finally has a solid release date, which is currently sitting at September 27th.

Hopefully this release date holds true, but in the meantime fans can pick-up an early version of Sweet Nothing at Barber's concerts. Costing a mere $10, the album will be available at the musician's remaining summer dates, including his appearance at the Wolfe Island Music Festival on August 6th.

To tickle your fancy, here's the track-listing of Sweet Nothing:

"Soft One"
"Awful Dream"
"The Plea"
"Easy To Fall"
"Like Lightening"
"Morning Light"
"Bad Side Hide"
"Love/Death"
"Make It Right"
"Water From A Tap"
"Untitled"

Already playing on radio is first single "Soft One", which according to Barber's website (www.matthewbarber.com), should have an accompanying video any day now. While fans wait on the clip, it's possible to listen to an audio track of "Soft One" at Barber's site as well.

Matthew Barber and the Union Dues' remaining summer gigs:

August 4, Hamilton, ON - The Casbah
August 5, London, ON - Call The Office
August 6, Kingston, ON - Wolfe Island Music Fest
