Still riding high as indie rock's "it" band, the Arcade Fire is set to take its much lauded debut Funeral and recently re-released self-titled EP on yet another run. Jumping from Canada to Japan to Europe to the States and back again, the Fire has a busy few months ahead of it.
As anyone who lives in Canada but not in Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver knows, it's a rare thing for a name such as the Arcade Fire to descend upon your city. However, that's just what the Montreal band will do, playing shows in Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Calgary, and Edmonton this fall.
Tickets for the Canadian gigs, with Wolf Parade and the Bell Orchestre tagging along, will be available through ticketmaster.ca. The Calgary date is the only one showing at the mo', with tickets on sale beginning July 30th at $20 each. Get them while they're hot, because all the deprived hipsters will be on them in seconds.
The Arcade Fire's upcoming dates with fellow Montrealers Wolf Parade run as follows:
July 23, Guelph, ON - Hillside Festival
September 30, Winnipeg, MB - Burton Cummings Theatre
October 2, Saskatoon, SK - Odeon Event Centre
October 4, Edmonton, AB - Red's
October 5, Calgary, AB - MacEwan Hall
