They're using the summer to make their way across the country, and so far Halifax's Wintersleep have been doing a pretty good job. They kicked off their cross-Canada jaunt on July 8th in Victoria, British Columbia, covering the entire western half of the country, and they've still got the eastern side to go.
Launching into the eastern leg of their tour yesterday (July 18th) in Thunder Bay, Ontario, the band will continue to bring the rock to Canadian music fans until August 7th when they wrap up the tour in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. From there the rockers will make their way to Europe; go to www.wintersleep.com for details.
Wintersleep is out and about with Uncut and Sylvie in tow in supporting their sophomore effort, which comes without a titled. Released earlier this year, the album features 11 tracks of the band's alt-rock music tucked beneath some pretty spiffy cover art.
