INXS Can't Pull Ratings, Autobiographize

Though they managed to come up with an American Idol that would appeal to the rocker inside of all of us, it appears that Rock Star: INXS isn't doing as well as the reality show's creators might have hoped. Featured on CBS three nights a week, the program has been getting dismal ratings.

Developed as a means to help INXS find a new lead singer in place of the late Michael Hutchence, former Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro co-hosts Rock Star, along with the remaining members of the Australian band. Three Canadian hopefuls were selected in the top 15 contestants; go to for show times.

On a lighter note, the autobiography of INXS will be appearing this fall thanks to Simon & Schuster's division Atria. The book is titled INXS: Story To Story and should be appearing right around the time of the 25th anniversary of the band's self-titled debut album.
