Stone Temple Pilots Brothers Join Filter Frontman?

Published: 2005-07-15
The Stone Temple Pilots fan site is reporting that Dean and Robert DeLeo, formerly of STP, have joined Filter singer Richard Patrick for a possible new project. The report mentions that Patrick has been giving compliments to Dean's guitar playing in recent interviews calling him one of his favourite guitarists ever, and in a recent posting on the official Filter website Patrick makes a comment about rehearsing with his new band, who he has shared the stage with only once before. Patrick joined STP on stage once in 2001 to sing the Filter song "Hey Man, Nice Shot."

Stone Temple Pilots broke up in 2003 with lead singer Scott Weiland going on to join Velvet Revolver with the ex-members of Guns N' Roses. The DeLeo brothers formed the side project Talk Show in 1997 when STP was on hiatus.
