Rolling Stone guitarist Keith Richards is set to appear in at least one of the sequels to the 2003 movie Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl as Captain Jack Sparrow's father, according to co-star Bill Nighy. "I'm not sure which one, because they are being filmed back to back," Nighy said. It's also possible Richards will be in both films.
Actor Johnny Depp, who plays Jack Sparrow, revealed that the character was actually based on Richards and that he has been trying to persuade the legendary rocker to make a cameo. The first sequel is set for release sometime next year.
