Paul McCartney Returns with New Album

Published: 2005-07-11
This September, Ex-Beatle Paul McCartney will release Chaos and Creation in the Back Yard, his first album in four years. Nigel Godrich (Radiohead) co-produced the album, which McCartney recorded in London and Los Angeles over a two-year period.

"I did not want to rush this album," says McCartney. "We really made a lot of it up as we went along. I'd try something, and if it didn't work I'd try something else until it did. It was like making a go-cart in the backyard."

On September 16th, McCartney will begin his 37-city US tour to support the new album.

The track list is as follows:
"Fine Line"
"How Kind of You"
"Jenny Wren"
"At the Mercy"
"Friends to Go"
"English Tea"
"Too Much Rain"
"A Certain Softness"
"Riding to Vanity Fair"
"Follow Me"
"Promise to You Girl"
"This Never Happened Before"
"Anyway"
