Hailing from sunny British Columbia, electronic-jazz trio Sekoya are leaving the ocean behind to give central Canada a better look around. The band's biggest tour of the East since the release of their self-titled debut in 2004, Sekoya have five performances scheduled around Ontario and Quebec.
Launching their mini-tour in Toronto in just one day on Thursday, July 7th, the Juno-nominated band will wrap up the jaunt in Montreal on July 13th. Sekoya already completed a tour of Western Canada, but it's more than likely the band will be playing around the Vancouver this summer; check sekoya.ca for updates.
Released into the world just over a year ago in June 2004, Sekoya's eponymous debut album has already brought the band huge amounts of success. With nods from the National Jazz Awards, Urban Music Awards, the Junos, and CMW Indie Music Awards, Sekoya already packs clout.
