Sufjan Stevens Takes 'Illinois' On The Road

The newest installment in Sufjan Stevens' 50 States project is almost upon us, with Illinois hitting stores later this month. The record is supposed to be dropping today, July 5th, but according to Steven's record label, Asthmatic Kitty, there have been some legal issues with the album's artwork.

Whether or not fans will indeed be able to get their hands on Steven's latest this week, one thing is certain, and that's that the signer/songwriter will be touring North America extensively this summer. Launching on July 15th in Los Angeles, the tour will wrap up in Philadelphia at the end of September.

There are just three Canadian stops on the jaunt, with Stevens hitting the three major centres. First up will be Vancouver on July 24th, Toronto and Montreal to follow in early September. For a full listing of tour dates and information on Illinois, visit www.asthmatickitty.com.
