Published: 2005-07-04
Not exactly the leaders of the new wave of British invaders but not at the back of the pack either, Kasabian is giving fans who've never caught the band live the chance to simulate the experience. The Leicester four-piece is releasing a download-only live release on July 4th.

The band recorded Live from Brixton Academy during a December 16th, 2004, performance at the legendary London venue. Coming with 14 tracks, the release recreates the entirety of the band's self-titled debut, and also includes a few other tracks like "Ovary Stripe" and "Pam Am Slit Scan."

Kasabian is currently making the rounds on the summer festival circuit, playing Benicassim in Spain, Summersonic in Japan, Lollapalooza in Chicago, and Reading and Leeds in the UK. They also landed the spot on Oasis's North American tour, and will be playing Vancouver on September 8th.

The track list of Live from Brixton Academy runs like this:

"Cutt Off"
"Reason Is Treason"
"Running Battle"
"Processed Beats"
"Test Transmission"
"Butcher Blues"
"Night Workers"
"Pan Am Slit Scan"
"L.S.F. (Lost Souls Forever)"
"U Boat"
"Ovary Stripe"
"Club Foot"
