Toronto-based singer-songwriter Kat Burns just put her very first recording out into the world, and now she's going to do what most artists do: tour to support it. She's sticking close to home, playing most of her summer shows in Ontario, but she will venture up to Quebec at least once.
Next up for the songstress is a performance in Toronto with fellow Ontario indie rock band Tacoma Hellfarm Tragedy. Burns will pair up with the three-piece a few more times throughout July; visit Burns's website at playthetriangle.com for more information.
Released mere weeks ago in May 2005, Burns's For the Birds EP was recorded independently and comes in a fancy handmade package. There's a limited number of copies of the six-song album hanging around, but you can always check out a few of the tracks on the 'Media' page of the singer's site if a copy eludes you.
