Cerulean Bring the Cali-Coastline to 'Fractions' EP

Published: 2005-06-28
LA-based band Cerulean can breathe a sigh of relief. They've made it past the on again off again band members, the NXNW appearance back in '99 and more recently their first US tour (2004), and have conquered West coast airwaves on such stations as KDLD "Indie 103.1" and KNRK in Portland, OR. Named after the substantial influence of Southern California's endless coastline and expansive skies, Cerulean have also impressed fans with their dreamy, effervescent music graced with the talented vocals of Rick Bolander.

The band began with Bolander and Mike McCabe (drums). They were high school friends who bumped into each other in New York while visiting family. The band has gained and lost members, but continues to impress crowds at such venues as The Viper Room, and Knitting Factory. Cerulean have released 2 full length albums, Skylight and brighter/still, and their most recent EP entitled Fractions.
