Coheed and Cambria Go Conceptual September 20th

Published: 2005-06-28
New age prog-rock four-piece Coheed and Cambria has decided on September 20th as the release date for the group's third studio album. Sporting probably the most long-winded title since Fiona Apple's stunner, Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV: Volume 1. From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness will come with thirteen tracks.

According to Coheed and Cambria's interview with Billboard, the first nine tracks of Good Apollo have a typical rock sound, while the final four take a plunge into the Pink Floyd pool of conceptualism. Coheed and Cambria also revealed that the upcoming album is actually the first of a two-parter, with the second half over a year away.

To support the ambitious concept album, Coheed and Cambria is set to recreate the complex set on tour this summer. The American quartet has gigs in ten cities lined up, many of which have already sold out. The jaunt, which includes a stop at Toronto's Molson Amphitheatre on July 1st as part of Edgefest, wraps up in New York City on July 21st.

Get tickets for the band's Edgefest performance, which will also include the likes of Alexisonfire and Billy Talent among others, through Ticketmaster.
