Peter Elkas, k-os Make Party of Two in Western Canada

Published: 2005-06-28
Quickly making as big a name for himself solo as he did with his band Local Rabbits, Peter Elkas is back on the road with another well-known Canadian artist. He previously made the trip across the country with Joel Plaskett, and now Elkas has joined forces with hip-hop powerhouse k-os.

The pair will hit a series of festivals in the western half of the country, including Victoria's ICA Folk Festival and the Calgary Stampede. Elkas will then part company with k-os and head back towards his Ontario home, playing the Ottawa Bluesfest and Northern Lights Festival on his lonesome.

Elkas continues to criss-cross the entire expanse of Canada in support of his debut solo disc, Party of One. Released last year, the album features 11 tracks from the veteran singer-songwriter, who is still getting used to solo life after ten years with Montreal-based indie band Local Rabbits.

Catch Peter Elkas all across the country:

July 4, Victoria, BC - ICA Folk Festival (with k-os)
July 5, Kamloops, BC - Sport Mart Place (with k-os)
July 7, Edmonton, AB - Shaw Conference Centre (with k-os)
July 8, Calgary, AB - Calgary Stampede (with k-os)
July 9, Sudbury, ON - Northern Lights Festival
July 10, Ottawa, ON - Ottawa Bluesfest
