Elvis Costello Preps Video Compilation

Published: 2005-06-27
Elvis Costello, the long-reigning leader of geek rock and one of the original video stars, is compiling 27 of his music videos on DVD for his fans' consumption. Due out on September 5th, The Right Spectacle: The Very Best of Elvis Costello also features 70 minutes of rare archive television footage.

Not only is every video from 1978's "(I Don't Want to Go to) Chelsea" to 1994's "13 Steps Lead Down" featured on the mix, but Costello provides commentary for each of the clips as well. The television extras come from Costello's and his band the Attractions' performances for channels in the Netherlands, Sweden, and the UK.
