Australia's Sekiden Working on New Album

Published: 2005-06-24
Australian indie rock act Sekiden is working on the follow-up to 2003's Junior Fiction and has already laid down some of the new disc's instrumentals. The band's previous record was one of 2003's undiscovered gems, full of hard guitar-driven songs and new wave retro pop.

The band, which operates out of Vancouver when touring North America, plans on coming to Canada when the new album is finished. "Man, I miss your countryóit's so beautiful," says band member Simon. "It's kinda weird getting homesick for somewhere you don't live."

Sekiden's next shows will be in Australia at the Brisbane Valley Fiesta and the SOOB Fiesta, both on July 9th. For more information on Sekiden, check out
