Canadian pop rocker Avril Lavigne will be lending her voice to an upcoming animated feature from Dreamworks titled Over the Hedge, to be released sometime in 2006. According to her website, Lavigne will voice a possum named Heather.
Other voices for the film include Nick Nolte, Bruce Willis, Garry Shandling, William Shatner, Allison Janney, Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Wanda Sykes, and Steve Carell. Lavigne is playing the daughter of William Shatner's character, an over-the-top possum trying to live with the threat of the spreading suburbs encroaching on the woodlands.
Lavigne will be kicking off her summer tour July 12th in Hamilton and will be stopping in London (July 13th), Ottawa (July 14th), and Toronto (July 15th) before heading off to the States. For more information on Lavigne's upcoming tour, visit https://tickets.ultrastar.com/.
