Green Day Films New Concert DVD

Published: 2005-06-23
Last weekend, power pop punk band Green Day filmed a new DVD during two sold-out shows in the English Midlands town of Milton Keynes. The band played to 130,000 people in total for the two shows, the largest British audience the band has ever performed for. Along with the concerts, the DVD will feature footage of the band travelling around London, as well as Milton Keynes residents and fans who attended the shows discussing what they like about Green Day.

The new DVD will appear later this year or in early 2006. In the meantime, the band will release the new single "Wake Me Up When September Ends," off its acclaimed 2004 album American Idiot .

Green Day will be in Barrie, Ontario, for a show with Jimmy Eat World on August 12.
