Its plans to tour the USA this summer may have fallen flat, but Ontario indie band Kepler is still getting the go-ahead with its newest studio effort. Due out on July 12th through New Jersey label Troubleman Unlimited, Attic Salt will be quintet's third full-length album.
Known for its slow, cold sound, Kepler plans to explore the rockier side of things this time round. For fans bursting to judge the new disc for themselves, two tracks are available for download at keplertheband.com.
The track list of Attic Salt goes a little something like this:
"Broken Bottles Blackened Hearts"
"The Bedside Manner"
"You Must Admit"
"The National Epithet"
"Days of Begging"
"The Rented Limousine"
"Reward and Respite"
So far the band has lined up just a few gigs in support of Attic Salt, but more are certain to come. Ever the busy bee, Kepler member Mike Feuerstack recently put out another solo album under the name Snailhouse, and still has a few dates left on his tour as well.
Kepler will welcome Attic Salt into the world here:
July 21, Montreal, QC - Casa Del Popolo
July 22, Ottawa, ON - Maverick's
July 23, Toronto, ON - The Boat
The tail end of Snailhouse's solo jaunt with Julie Doiron goes like this:
June 23, Hamilton, ON - Casbah
June 24, Peterborough, ON - Grassroots Caf»
June 25, Kingston, ON - The Grad Club
June 26, Toronto, ON - Soundscapes (in-store, 3 p.m.)
June 26, Toronto, ON - Sneaky Dee's
June 27, Montreal, QC - La Sala Rossa
