Firing up the tour van for another long haul, Toronto musician Rob Szabo will uproot himself and spend the next few months exploring the lands that lie west of his comfy bed. The number of shows Szabo plans to play during his two month-long jaunt seems to be expanding, but at the moment he has 19 gigs scheduled.
With the western run beginning on June 28th in Marquette, Michigan, Szabo will be hitting the highway solo, travelling all the way to the coast. He has a three-night residency in Grande Prairie, Alberta, and a couple of four-night stints in British Columbia, after which he'll head down to sunny California for a July 20th show.
The reason Szabo has chosen to spend his summer on the road rather than in his home is to support his most recent release, the Late Bloomer/Sore Loser double EP. Go to robszabo.com to check it out for yourself.
