Charlotte Church Goes Pop

Published: 2005-06-20
Selling millions of albums thanks to precocious operatic abilities, Welsh singer Charlotte Church has been seduced by the pop world and will now go after Britney's fans with Tissues and Issues. Church's fourth full-length, Tissues will be out in stores in the UK on July 11th, with a North American release presumably to follow.

Recording both in Britain and the United States, Church pulled in some hip producers in Dave Fortman (Evanescence, Mudvayne), Tore Johansson (the Cardigans, Franz Ferdinand), and Brian Rawling (David Bowie, Girls Aloud) to help her achieve her new sound. Reportedly ranging from pure pop to Motown to hip hop, the 12 songs include 7 Church co-wrote.

The first single from Tissues and Issues, "Crazy Chick," is due to be released to radio this week. To check out how Church plans to drop the soccer mom fanbase, go to to watch the video for "Crazy Chick."

"Finding My Own Way"
"Let's Be Alone"
"Easy to Forget"
"Fool No More"
"Easy Way Out"
"Casualty of Love"
"Even God"
