Calgary Folk Festival Lineup Announced

Published: 2005-06-16
The recently unveiled lineup for the Calgary Folk Festival contained a few surprises. Wilco founder and frontman Jeff Tweedy, who also co-founded the now-defunct Uncle Tupelo, is making a solo acoustic appearance on July 21st on the main stage, while star 90s rap group Arrested Development plays on July 23rd.

Now in its 25th year, Calgary's Folk Festival has grown into one of Canada's premier events in showcasing local and multinational talent from all different genres of music. Other performers for the July 21st to 24th event include Hawksley Workman, Ron Sexsmith, Indigo Girls, Sarah Harmer, Steve Earle, and Shelby Lynne.
