Primes Prep Debut LP, Hit the Highway

Vancouver's electro-punk duo Primes are leaving the West Coast behind in favour of the buzz of the East this summer. They're making their way around both the US and Canada in support of their upcoming self-titled debut album, starting with a gig in Milwaukee on July 20th.

So far they've scheduled 11 performances, including a stop in Toronto with Edmonton's the Floor and Calgary's Falconhawk. Before Primes take that long drive toward the St. Lawrence, however, they'll warm up with a few dates closer to home; for a full listing, go to

Taking after Suicide and residing in the same neighbourhood as Wolf Eyes, leadman JJD and DJ Miss X create a unique mix of genres for Primes' first proper album. The band encourages music fans to judge Primes' music for themselvesóa sort of DIY for the review worldóby listening to two audio samples at its website.
