Michael Jackson Found Not Guilty

Published: 2005-06-14
It seems like the entire world waited with bated breath yesterday for the verdict in Michael Jackson's child molestation trial. Late on Monday afternoon, word arrived that the jury had found the "King of Pop" not guilty on all ten counts.

The jury deliberated for seven days before finally coming to the decision. They used that time to digest 14 weeks of testimony and other evidence including the Jackson documentary Living with Michael Jackson. Jackson faced up to 20 years in prison if found guilty on all counts.

Following the verdict's announcement, Jackson promptly left the courtroom and did not stop for any sort of press conference. Jackson's lawyer, Thomas Mesereau, did speak, however, saying "justice was done." It has been reported that Michael Jackson has already sold his Neverland ranch.
