As it often goes with Canadian artists, Toronto rapper k-os is better known at home than further to the south. As proof of his popularity in Canada, k-os will join critically acclaimed pianist John Legend for one of the few co-headlining dates on Legend's Get Lifted tour.
With a fan base comprising equally big helpings of critics and less jaded music lovers, k-os will be living the dream all summer. The singer, whose real name is Kheaven Brereton, will first make his way to the 2005 Much Music Video Awards on June 19th, where he'll take to the stage and inevitably pick up a few trophies.
Although he has just seven performance dates scheduled for the hot months, k-os will be spreading himself evenly across the nation. After (most likely) sweeping the MMVAs, the rapper will hit the West before making his way through central Canada, including his Toronto date with Legend, to Newfoundland in support of his highly acclaimed disc, Joyful Rebellion.
Released in late 2004, Joyful Rebellion has helped k-os break all kinds of Canadian records and win innumerable awards.
