Todd Agnew Readies Second Album

Published: 2005-06-10
Pushed back once before, the release date of Todd Agnew's new studio album now appears set for August 16th. This will be Agnew's second album, titled Reflection of Something. Produced by John Hampton (Gin Blossoms, the Replacements), the record is the follow-up to his 2003 debut, Grace Like Rain.

"I feel like I've grown up a bit more musically," Agnew said of Reflection of Something earlier this year. "I realized we needed to stay true to what we had done so far, but I didn't want my second project to just be a copy of the first one. When I listen to this record, I catch echoes of the music that I care about and that has shaped me: Kansas, Led Zeppelin, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Memphis Blues, funk. As far as what it will mean to other people, it's still kind of up in the air. That's why I'm looking forward to letting people hear it so they can tell me."

To support his new album, Agnew is heading out on a headlining tour this summer with fellow rockers Starfield and Inhabited. Unfortunately, they haven't announced any Canadian stops thus far; go to www.toddagnew.com for a full list of dates.

The 13 tracks of Reflection of Something look like this:

"Something Beautiful"
"New Name"
"Blood on My Hands"
"Unchanging One"
"Isaiah 6"
"Mercy in Me"
"The Wonder of It All"
"In the Middle of Me"
"Always There"
"Where Were You?"
"Fullness Found"
"My Jesus"
"It Is Well"
