Teenage Fanclub Plans Summer Road Trip

Published: 2005-06-10
Scotland's Teenage Fanclub, whose legendary status hasn't really crossed the pond, will make some astute music fans very, very happy when it takes its indie rock on a summer road trip. It just so happens that two of the twelve cities included on the band's North American run lie north of the border.

After playing New York City's legendary Bowery Ballroom, the power-pop quartet will hit Toronto on July 25th before making its way to the West Coast for an August 2nd performance in Vancouver. Following the wrap of the North American leg, Teenage Fanclub will play Japan's Summer Sonic festival and then head south for four dates in Australia.

Those who don't fancy waiting months for their Teenage Fanclub fix can pick up the band's brand new full-length CD, Man-Made. The Fanclub's first studio album in five years, the 12-track album received its North American debut through Merge Records this past Tuesday.

To catch Teenage Fanclub in Canada on its summer tour, make your way to one of the following:

July 25, Toronto, ON - Mod Club
August 2, Vancouver, BC - Richard's On Richards
