Neil Young to Be Subject of Concert Film

Canadian rocker Neil Young is working with movie director Jonathan Demme on an concert film, to be taped in August at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry. Young has worked with Demme before, contributing a song to the soundtrack of his 1993 movie "Philadelphia."

Young has been in Nashville recording a new album with keyboardist Spooner Oldham, pedal steel guitarist Ben Keith, and drummer Carl Himmel. The new album will be Young's first studio effort since 2003's Greendale, which debuted at number 22 on the Billboard 200 chart and has sold 204,000 copies in the US according to Nielsen SoundScan.

A release date for the new album is unconfirmed.
