Cooch Music's Amateur Songwriting Contest

Think you have what it takes to write the next number one chart topping hit song? Cooch Music gives you the opportunity to strut your stuff. Cooch Music has launched its seventh annual Amateur Songwriting Contest. Cooch Music considers anyone who has made less than US$5000 in royalties from a song as an amateur. The contest is open to any style of music to any songwriter in the world. Cooch Music says that their contest is the only songwriting contest in the world that is open only to amateurs.

The deadline for entry into the contest is March 28, 2004. If at least 100 songs have not been entered by the deadline of March 28 then a new deadline of April 30 will be set. An entry fee of USA$15 is required for each entry. There is no limit on the number of songs a writer may enter. Only one grand prize will be awarded. Along with numerous prizes the winner will receive a publishing contract with J Cooch Music (BMI). Winners will be announced May 31, 2004.
