Swingset Champion, a Vancouver-based indie band with one of the best names ever, is leaving the West Coast behind to explore the midlands of Canada. The four-piece has been running around since the beginning of May and is heading into the middle of its cross-country run as June approaches.
Rocking out in the nation's capital tonight, Swingset Champion will head back towards British Columbia to land in Kelowna on June 11th. In between, however, the punk quartet will hit the three prairie provinces with six performances.
Out supporting their Therefore EP, which they released last June, the quartet has been trying to hit the big time since 2002. Emo-punk without the whine, Therefore is third release from Swingset Champion, none of which has been a full-length. Check them out at www.swingsetchampion.com.
