Tragically Hip Celebrate 20 Years Together

Published: 2005-05-31
Celebrating twenty impressive years as one of Canada's biggest rock bands, the Tragically Hip are set to mark the occasion with a compilation record. Not just a run-of-the-mill career retrospective, the album will be made up of songs chosen by you, me, and the guy down the streetóin other words, the fans.

By voting here, fans can help decide which the Hip songs will make it to the two disc compilation to be released this fall. From their very first self-titled EP to their eleventh full-length, In Between Evolution, you can only vote for ten songs at once... but you can vote as many times as you want, so knock yourself out.

Canadian heroes in their own right, the Tragically Hip started off their twentieth year by being inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, then proceeded to give a flawless performance at the Junos. Gord Downie and co. will close it off by opening for none other than the Rolling Stones at their Magnetic Hill gig in New Brunswick. Plus, they've sold 6 million units and counting. Not too shabby.
