New Desert Sessions Album Planned

Published: 2005-05-27
Queens of the Stone Age front man Josh Homme is planning to record another Desert Sessions album and has asked his friends to be available for studio sessions later this year. The Desert Sessions series numbers ten albums so far, with the first collaboration dating back to 1998. Past contributors include such musicians as Mark Lanegan, PJ Harvey, and former Queens of the Stone Age bassist Nick Oliveri.

Homme has been finding it difficult to get all his musician friends together in the same place at the same time due to conflicting schedules. Queens of the Stone Age played Saturday Night Live on May 14th and are about to support Nine Inch Nails on its upcoming North America fall tour.

The last Desert Sessions album was released in 2003.
