NIN Nabs QOTSA to Open Fall Tour

Published: 2005-05-27
Big news for metal fans came earlier this week as Nine Inch Nails announced plans to take riff-heavy rockers Queens of the Stone Age along for the ride on the band's fall tour. QOTSA will, formally speaking, be playing the part of warm-up act. Both bands are so unquestionably huge that it should shape up to be one of the best bills of the year. A third party may even join the ticket.

NIN hasn't yet confirmed dates for the stadium tour, but word has it that the band won't launch it until mid-September. NIN pledges on its official site ( to release all the details, including pre-sale announcements, in early June.

NIN, which as most know is essentially Trent Reznor, is currently wrapping a spring tour in support of its most recent disc, With Teeth. The first NIN studio album in over five years, the 13-track record was easily one of the most anticipated of early 2005. Queens of the Stone Age released Lullabies to Paralyze to similar expectations, appeasing rock audiences in March 2005.
