Ringo Will 'Choose Love' All Over Again

Published: 2005-05-26
Sir Mick is gearing up to put a new album into the world and then hit the pavement, and Sir Paul is planning on doing the same. He may not be a Sir quite yet (or ever), but that doesn't mean Ringo Starr doesn't have the same grand intentions as his more illustrious friends.

That's right, the Beatle everyone names last will put out a new album in 2005 as well. Due to hit shelves June 7th, Choose Love is Starr's lucky thirteenth solo effort (didn't know he had so many, did you?). Giving him a little help with Choose Love are people with names like Chrissie Hynde and Billy Preston.

The track list of Choose Love looks like this:

"Fading In Fading Out"
"Give Me Back the Beat"
"Oh My Lord"
"Hard to Be True"
"Some People"
"Wrong All the Time"
"Don't Hang Up"
"Choose Love"
"Me and You"
"The Turnaround"
"Free Drinks"

Unlike Sirs Paul and Mick, however, Ringo won't be hitting the road in a big way this summer. He has just two gigs pencilled in for 2005, with neither of them coming anywhere near Canadian soil. Starr will be in New York on June 19th and will play Chicago six days later on the 25th.
