Juliette Lewis's Band Releases Debut Album

Published: 2005-05-20
Juliette and the Licks were in Los Angeles this week to release their first full-length album, entitled You're Speaking My Language. The disc, which they produced themselves, took a month-and-a-half to record and mix. The Licks released a six-song EP, Like a Bolt of Lightning, last year.

The group is made up of Lewis on vocals, Paul Ill on bass, Todd Morse and Kemble Walters on guitars, and Jason Morris on drums. The band makes regular guest appearances at Camp Freddy all-star jam concerts alongside fellow performers Dave Navarro, Jerry Cantrell, Macy Gray, and many others.

The band is currently on tour in the U.S. and just performed on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. No Canadian stops are planned.
