Winners of the 2005 Shai Awards Announced

Published: 2005-05-17
This past Saturday the Shai Awards were handed out to Canada's top Christian artists at Mississauga's Hershey Centre. The awards recognized excellence in twenty-three different categories, from Francophone Album of the Year to New Artist of the Year, with a few artists taking home a good stock.

British Columbia's Carolyn Arends walked away with four awards, including both Folk and Inspirational Album of the Year for her current Under The Gaze LP. Another British Columbian came in a close second: Salmon Arm's Greg Sczebel continues to garner praise, winning three Shai Awards, including Song of the Year for "In the Pocket."
