The Toronto based indie rockers known as Cuff the Duke are ready to hop back on the merry-go-round once again, releasing a new collection of songs for 2005, including the first single "No Sleep, No Heat". The band has big plans for Cuff the Duke, scheduled to hit stores August 30th through Hardwood Records.
The sophomore disc will feature Cuff the Duke's very first music videoůa very big landmark indeed. The band will also use the album to tease its fans. According to its website (www.cufftheduke.com), the band will stream the entirety of Cuff the Duke starting on August 1st, a whole month before it becomes available for purchase.
As we all know, streaming music allows you to listen, which is all fine and dandy, but downloading allows you to keep music for your very own, for ever and ever. To torment its admirers, Cuff the Duke will sporadically post different tracks from Cuff the Duke for downloading. What teases!
Cuff the Duke is touring behind the new album, starting with a handful of summer festivals, some which also include the likes of the Arcade Fire and Stars on the bill. They're also playing the Icelandic Festival in a place whose name, Gimli, is reason enough to attend all on its own.
Check them out, along with a slew of other Canucks, at these concerts and festivals:
June 11, Toronto, ON - The Horseshoe
June 8-9, Sudbury, ON - Northern Lights Festival
July 16, Ottawa, ON - Ottawa Blues Festival
July 22-24, Guelph, ON - Hillside Festival
