After a series of label troubles (getting dropped from Virgin, for one), San Francisco garage rockers Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are back with their third album. Apparently a change of direction musically for the trio, Howl will be out in stores on August 22nd through Echo Recordings in Europe, with RCA picking up the North American release.

The first single taken from the disc, "Ain't No Easy Way Out," goes to record stores August 8th. Joining the lead-off track on Howl are 12 other songs that look a little something like this:

"Shuffle Your Feet"
"Devil's Waitin"
"Ain't No Easy Way Out"
"Still Suspicion Holds You Tight"
"Fault Line"
"Weight of the World"
"Restless Sinner"
"Gospel Song"
"Complicated Situation"
"Sympathetic Noose"
"The Line"

In anticipation of Howl's release, BRMCóincluding drummer Nick Jago, who recently rejoined the groupówill head out on a short tour of the United Kingdom, with seven dates scheduled so far. And they'll be taking beloved indie rockers Brian Jonestown Massacre along for the ride. Go to the band's official website, www.blackrebelmotorcycleclub.com, for a full list of dates.
