Foo Fighters Release 'In Your Honor' Details

Published: 2005-05-12
Whether or not as a ploy for hype, Dave Grohl has called the upcoming studio release In Your Honor the "definitive" Foo Fighters record. Comprising one disc of the band's traditional electric rock and another of softer, acoustic-type tunes, In Your Honor will certainly showcase the many sides of the American quartet.

Due out on June 14th through RCA, In Your Honor will house 20 tracksóthat'd be 10 on each discóand will feature guest spots from the likes of Norah Jones and Josh Homme. "Best of You," the first single lifted from the album, began playing on radio last month.

The two discs of In Your Honor look like this:

Disc one (electric):
"In Your Honor"
"No Way Back"
"Best of You"
"The Last Song"
"Free Me"
"The Deepest Blues Are Black"
"End Over End"

Disc two (acoustic):
"What If I Do"
"Another Round"
"Friend of a Friend"
"Over N' Out"
"On The Mend"
"Virginia Moon"
"Cold Day in the Sun"

The Foo Fighters have not announced plans for a world tour, but the band will hit many of the major European festivals, including Denmark's Roskilde Festival and Scotland's T in the Park. They will also play Japan's Fuji Rock Festival. Odds are they'll be hitting the home continent sometime soon, though.
