Por Nada to Tour Canada This Summer

Published: 2005-05-11
Edmonton rockers Por Nada are planning a full Canadian tour for this summer. According to drummer Milap Petigara, the band will head east in July, then back west in early August. Bassist Andrew Wood told Soul Shine that Por Nada would try to get as far as Toronto this year, though nothing is concrete yet. Their last show was in Edmonton on April 30th.

As well as Petigara and Wood, Por Nada is made up of Jordan Harrison (guitar) and Matthew Skopyk (guitar, voice). The band's influences include Joy Division, the Chameleons, and Scottish rockers Mogwai.

Por Nada's last album was October, 2004's self-released EP a huge granite structure fell out of the sky. They plan to release a full-length album as soon as they find a label.
