Kings of Leon and The Secret Machines Console One Another

Published: 2005-05-11
Teaming up to bring North America a classic "we're much bigger in Britain but we live in the USA" tour, Kings of Leon and The Secret Machines will present themselves to their fellow citizens, and a few Canadians, this summer. There are 23 stops on the two-month jaunt, just one of them falling on Canadian soil.

Kicking off in Portland, Oregon, on July 15th, the tour will run through both of the summer months that see schoolchildren running free like hooligans. The final show happens on August 20th in Nashville, Tennesee, just days before all the wee kiddies march back to class. The Secret Machines and Kings of Leon will hit Toronto smack-dab in the middle of the run, on August 2nd.

Both bands are touring in support of their 2004 sophomore albums (KoL's Aha Shake Heartbreak and TSM's Now Here Is Nowhere), with a new The Road Leads Where It's Led EP on its way from The Secret Machines. Built around an incredibly successful song found on Now Here, the EP, to be released June 7th, also features covers of Van Morrison and Bob Dylan tunes.
