Last Day for 2005 Shai Award Voting

The goal of any great musician is to make music that changes people's lives. That's just what the artists at the 2005 Shai Awards (formerly the VGM Awards) have done, and now they're letting their fans decide on how much of an impact they've made on them.

Vibe Gospel Music (VGM), a volunteer organization founded in 1998 by Dionne Smith, was formed for Canadian artist's who just so happen to be dedicated Christians needing a platform to showcase their talent and attain a position of credibility in the Canadian Contemporary/Gospel and world music arena. Soul Shine will be at the awards ceremony this Saturday May 14 and will report on what your votes have done for the artists by announcing the winners in our daily news.

Performances for the 2005 Shai Awards include top names such as Carolyn Arends who's up for 7 nominations including Female Soloist of the year, fan favourite and Juno Award winner Greg Sczebel is up for 5 nominations including Artist of the Year; Thousand Foot Krutch, and Starfield are also nominated for Artist of the Year.
