Bebop Cortez to Tour and Release EP

Published: 2005-05-09
Edmonton indie favourites Bebop Cortez are working on a new EP and will head out on the road this summer. Bandleader Curtis Ross recently broke his arm but is eager to get back to work, so a tour will commence as soon as he is healthy enough to play.

The new EP will be released in the fall or winter and will consist of four or five tracks. The EP follows Bebop's 2004 debut album The Romantic Panther Commander, which hit number one on a few Canadian electronic stations.

Ross is the main performer and songwriter on Bebop's recorded material, while the live lineup includes members Al Camino (of Les Tabernacles) on bass, Roz Christian on synthesizer and Chris Sturwold on electro-drums.

Ross's side project is a group called The Frosted Tipz, which is working on its own four-song EP.
